Arguably the town with the most beautiful beaches of Albania. Fact is that there are some nice uninhabited islets just in front of the coast that can easily be reached by swimming.
The beaches are nice and sandy, but in Ksamil-town they are almost completely covered with chairs. In summer Ksamil is packed with tourists and Albanians.
The nearby “Monastery beach” is a good option for some more peace and quiet.
In the evening there is 1 restaurant with live music and some bars, but otherwise Ksamil is pretty much dead at night. We were here in the beginning of September is it was still really crowded, but the prices of hotels are dropping down.
For a night out you better go to neighboring town Saranda.
From Ksamil you can go to Butrint National Park.
Where to sleep in Ksamil
We slept in a guesthouse. Because Barbara’s brother joined us on our trip we booked an apartment. Vila Ronaldo
It has everything you need. A kitchen, a fridge, your own bathroom and an air conditioning.
Costs 2317 Lek (19 euro) per night for 3 persons.
